Once a week or so, I'm going to try to do a Google search on something I've either always wondered about or about some random thought/idea I had. I would like to know how many times I say, "I'll Google it." every week. For the initial Google Search Day I have researched some strange facts. Always fun to read!
The Weird and True:
You could very well be eating meat from 100 different cows the next time you bite into a fast-food burger.
Charlie Chaplin's corpse was stolen and held for ransom.
There once was a chicken that lived for 18 months. Why is that so fascinating? For those 18 months...he had no head!
When twins are born they are usually born just moments before and after each other. There was set of twins born 87 days apart!
Nicholas Cage apparently bought an octopus thinking that it would help with his acting. I'm going to go out on a short limb here and assume it didn't help. At all.
Simon Cowell was arrested at age 12 for using a toy gun. He used it to hijack a bus.
Aerosmith has made a lot of money in their career. However, they have earned more from Guitar Hero than their albums.
In an average lifetime, our bodies produce enough saliva to fill up 2 swimming pools.
Are you keeping up with your dusting? In your lifetime you could shed up to 40 pounds of skin.
Remember Pizza the Hut...the notorious mobster that became locked in his car and ate himself to death? Ever wonder why our stomachs don't digest themselves? It's because our stomach cells are created faster than they can be destroyed.
Need some shade? Stretch out your skin! A male adult's skin, if stretched out, would cover about 20 sq. ft.
Want a tattoo? Not me, thanks. I hate them. But if you do and don't want to spend the cash then hold up a golf club in a lightning storm (or some other conductor of electricity), wait patiently...and when you finally get struck by lightning you'll have your tattoo.
Darn! Missed the boat on that one! The song, "Happy Birthday," is copyrighted. Warner/Chapell music collected $5000/day in 2008 in royalities.
Okay, last one. This is interesting! While sitting down, lift up your right foot and move it in a clock-wise direction. While doing that draw the number 6 with your right hand. Does your foot change direction?
See you next Google Search Day!
