Elf Letters at Midnight: Night of the Twelfth

For the last couple of years, beginning on the first of December, Elves from the North Pole have visited our home. While my family and I are...nestled (sorry, couldn't resist) in our beds, the elves with very peculiar and interesting names frolic downstairs dropping off little tiny gifts for the girls. Before leaving, they always have written a letter (usually hand-written) addressed just for the girls. Taking advantage of the opportunity, they don't fail to mention the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of family. The girls are always very excited about the letter and of course the little gifts that that the Elves leave behind.

Following are the letters they have written.

Gooooooood Mooooorrrning, Graybill girrrrrllls! Wow, what a beautiful day it will be! How do I know it will be a beautiful day, you ask? Well, every day is a beautiful day when you have Jesus in your heart. Wouldn’t you agree?!  You know what else makes every day a beautiful day? Family. I love family. Family isn’t always perfect, but you know what? Your mommy and daddy love you perfectly. Do you know what that means? It means no matter what, they will always love you…and believe me…your mommy and daddy love you a BIG bunch.

Well, things at the North Pole are crazy, super busy. I mean REALLY, REALLY crazy, super busy. After making the last batch of toys that we worked twelve hours on, we looked around and were surrounded by an eight-foot wall of paper and sawdust and a whole bunch of other debris. It took another two hours just to clean it up! What a looooong day! But it’s all worth it because of kids like you. I look forward to getting up every day to see what will come our way as elves. Santa treats us well. He always surprises us with music and dancing and cookies and candy. Yesterday, he yelled STOP! We thought he was mad or something, but he was just tricking us. He told us to take a two-hour break so we could have sled races. Let me tell you something…sledding in the North Pole is SOOOOO much FUN!

Well, we gotta go…Christmas is only getting closer !

Be good to each other, okay? Promise?

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Love, Fluffy, Scarfee & Petal
