Elf Letters at Midnight: Night of the Thirteenth

For the last couple of years, beginning on the first of December, Elves from the North Pole have visited our home. While my family and I are...nestled (sorry, couldn't resist) in our beds, the elves with very peculiar and interesting names frolic downstairs dropping off little tiny gifts for the girls. Before leaving, they always have written a letter (usually hand-written) addressed just for the girls. Taking advantage of the opportunity, they don't fail to mention the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of family. The girls are always very excited about the letter and of course the little gifts that that the Elves leave behind.

Following are the letters they have written.

December 13th 2014 (12 more days after today!)

Heidi Ho Ho Ho, girls! We can’t stay long tonight. We usually chill for a bit, turn on the lights on your tree and just breathe in the love that surrounds this home. But tonight, we are off to pray for blessings and healing to those children that are sick and may not be able to be home for Christmas. It breaks our hearts to see them like that, but we know God is good and He is good all the time.

Can you do us a favor? Can you say some prayers today for all the children that may be sick and away from their own homes and beds? I think that would be really special.

You girls are amazing and we love you so much.We wish you the most Merry Chritmas ever! Hug each other today and tell one another how much you love them! It’s important.

Bye, Graybill Girls!
