The Twenty-Third Day of Christmas:
December 23, 2015
It’s so close now you can smell it…okay, maybe that’s cookies burning in the oven, but anyway, Christmas is almost here. What a special day it will be!
You girls played so nicely together yesterday. We are so proud of you. It’s important to be nice to one another because family is a support system that you’ll have for the rest of your life. It’s important that you know you’ll be treated with love. And love doesn’t mean you only say things to make others feel better. Love is also being honest with one another. Sometimes honesty can hurt, but if it’s out of love then we need to use those words to make us become a better person.
Words can build, but they can also destroy. Madison, I want to tell you that I’m sorry for what that kid said to you. I am so proud of how you handled it. It’s okay that it upset you, but you kept playing and you didn’t say anything back. You proved to be the better person. You are a wonderful person. You ALL are and don’t ever forget it. B, I’m proud of for wanting to get your extra credit done for school. That shows real determination and that you want to keep doing well and learns lots and lots. Sophie, I’m impressed at how much you want to give. You have a giving spirit and that is a splendid thing. All of you make us proud. All of you are beautiful and important.
Enjoy your day together and do something to make someone feel happy today J
