North Pole Letters: December 2, 2017

December 2, 2017 (23 Days before Christmas)

Good morning, Sunshines!

What a wonderful day it’s going to be! It’s so important to wake up with a positive attitude. And why not? I say if you’re blessed with a new day make the best of it.

I must say, we are very impressed with how you girls have such a great attitude about school. Sophie? I know you have had some rough mornings, but you have had such a wonderful week. Keep it up! Bailey and Madison? The two of you have never been anything but positive about school. Way to go! We are so proud! I know we say that a lot, but it’s just so true. Santa says he is proud of us every day…even when we accidentally put the wrong parts in the toys causing major catastrophe throughout the Elf Kingdom of the North Pole. Don’t believe me? Just hope you don’t get a tooting Fingerling.

Santa told us he was proud of us that day, but I don’t think it was easy for him. Mrs. Claus – so we hear – had to bribe him with 19 dozen cookies. It’s okay though. We all mess up. We’re all about grace and mercy up here at The Pole. Besides, Santa bought all three thousand of us a little gift for our hard work. Yep! You guessed it. Tooting Fingerlings.

It wasn’t until after we opened them that we realized they weren’t just tooting toys that made you laugh, but that the toots actually smell. Boy oh boy! Somebody really messed up the wiring on those things.

Anyway…getting a little off track.

So, what do you think you girls could do to make the best of today? Rake someone’s yard? How about do some chores without being asked? Or maybe sit down together and watch some Christmas movies? You could even dedicate some time for writing in your journal. Whatever you decide to do, do it with a gracious and thankful heart. Just be thankful for everything around you.

Home is a special place, but it’s not perfect. It will never be perfect. We don’t always get what you want. Sometimes you get what you don’t need. Other times you don’t realize you need something you don’t want, but you already have.

Okay, are you confused? I certainly am. My point is, while everybody makes poor choices the love your mom and have for you is perfect because they love you and they will always, always, always love you no matter what. Just like Jesus. Just like you are important part of your family at home, you are even more of an important part of God’s creation. So whatever you decide to do today know that. Know that no matter what choices you make, your heavenly father loves and adores you.

Madison, you are special, amazing and beautiful.
Bailey, you are special, amazing and beautiful.
Sophie…I mean Sophia, you are special, amazing and beautiful.

Now don’t let anyone ever tell you the three of you don’t have anything in common. J

Merry Christmas, girls! We love you!

Your Elves,

Snickety, Halo and Henry Jones
